What makes Native Guide Hawaii different from the rest?

Native Guide Hawaii is not just an Ecotour company; it is a means of gaining cultural awareness and insights into Hawaii that you can only get from someone from within the Hawaiian culture. Other tour companies may have Hawaiian or “local” guides, but we are native Hawaiian owned and operated.

According to Warren:

Native Guide Hawaii “My goal is to have each and every one of you come away from your experience with a sense of having really participated in something real and fulfilling. I don’t stick to any kind of rigid itineraries or plans, if there is something interesting that you want to do or see that is not on the schedule, we'll go!”

At Native Guide Hawaii you are not a tourist – you are a participant.

How hard are the hikes?

Our scheduled tours and hikes are easy to moderate.

Do you pick up from the Airport?

Yes. If you are staying on another island, and you want to fly in for the day for a tour, we can pick you up from the Hilo Airport. We recommend either Hawaiian, or Go Airlines. We will pick you up from the Airport, take you on an awesome tour, then return you to the Airport, or the location of your choice, at the end of the day!

What if it rains?

We get wet. If the weather is severe or life – threatening we may cancel a trip or choose an alternate location.

Can we book an exclusive tour?

All of our tours are exclusive tours! Contact Us directly for details. All of our tours are personal tours conducted by Warren Costa.

What is your capacity?

We can accomodate up to 6 guests!

What should we wear?

• Sturdy covered footwear with good traction.
• Long pants are recommended for all adventures, but Do bring shorts and swimwear, in case we swim.
• A light weight top
• Jacket or long-sleeved top – gets pretty cold in Volcano!
• A hat.

What should we bring with us?

• Camera with fresh batteries, film or cards.
• Swimsuit and towel.
• Binoculars.
• Sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.
• And finally, do come with an open - mind and plenty of Aloha!

Where and when do we meet?

When you book your tour or adventure, we will figure out the most convenient place and time to pick you up and drop you off.

Are you certified in CPR and First Aid?

Yes, I am American Red Cross Certified and am an instructor for Standard First Aid and CPR.

What's your cancellation policy?

We prefer at least 48 hours notice.

How do we pay you?
